How we handle your data. Softaliza processes personal data under Brazil's General Data Protection Law (LGPD), and this policy explains, in plain language, what we collect on assocializa.com and in Assocializa, why we collect it and what your rights are.
Last updated: October 8, 2026.
1. Who we are
Softaliza Tecnologias Ltda ("Softaliza", "we"), a company incorporated in Brazil, develops and operates Assocializa, association management software. Softaliza is the controller of the personal data processed on this website, assocializa.com, and, depending on the case, the controller or the processor of the personal data processed on the platforms it operates.
We process personal data in accordance with Brazil's General Data Protection Law (Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados, Law No. 13,709/2018, the "LGPD"). This policy is addressed to visitors of assocializa.com and to associations that evaluate or use Assocializa, wherever they are.
2. What data we collect
2.1 Visitors to assocializa.com
Contact forms. When you fill in the form to talk to our team, we collect your name, work email, organization, country, number of members and plan of interest and, if you choose to provide them, your phone or WhatsApp number and your message. We also record how you reached us, such as the referring page and the campaign parameters in the link, when present.
Demo and AI assistant. To watch the product demo, you give us your name, work email and organization. We record your interactions with the demo, such as when you play the video, how far you watch and the chapters you choose, along with basic technical information such as your browser type. You can also ask questions to our AI assistant on the site and on the demo page. Your questions and the assistant's answers are recorded so our team can follow up, and to improve our answers and our content. If you identify yourself to continue a conversation, your questions are linked to your contact. If you send a message to our team from the demo page, we record it too.
How the AI assistant works. The assistant's answers are generated by an artificial intelligence service from a third-party provider, based on our official information. Your questions are sent to that provider to produce the answers. Please do not include sensitive personal data in your questions.
Email and WhatsApp. If you write to us by email or WhatsApp, we receive your contact details and the content of your messages.
Analytics. We measure visits with Vercel Web Analytics, a privacy-friendly analytics service that does not use cookies. It gives us aggregate information, such as the pages visited, the referring sites, the country and the type of device, and we do not use it to identify individual visitors.
Browsing data. Like most websites, our hosting provider records technical data, such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to operate and protect the site.
Cookies and local storage. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. To remember your preferences, such as your language and the notices you have closed, and to keep your demo session for a limited time so you do not have to fill in the form again, the site uses your browser's local storage. You can clear it at any time in your browser settings.
2.2 Associations and members that use Assocializa
When an association or organization contracts Assocializa, it is the controller of the personal data of its members and participants, and Softaliza acts as the processor (the "operador", in the terms of the LGPD), processing that data on the association's instructions. The data processed depends on the modules the association uses, such as member records, event and course registrations and payment receipts.
If you are a member of an association that uses Assocializa and want to exercise your rights over your data, contact your association, which is the controller of that data. You can also write to us at hello@assocializa.com.
3. Why we collect data
- Commercial contact: to answer your request, present Assocializa, follow up on your demo and send you the pricing and payment options for your country.
- Operating the platforms: to allow associations to manage their members, dues, events, courses and publications with our technology.
- Continuous improvement: to understand how the site and the platforms are used, improve our products and fix problems. The questions asked to the AI assistant also help us improve our content and its answers.
- Legal and contractual obligations: to comply with them.
4. Sharing of data
Softaliza does not sell personal data. We share information only when strictly necessary to operate the site and the platforms, with providers such as hosting and database services, payment providers, email services and the artificial intelligence provider behind our assistant, or when required by law. All providers are contractually bound to maintain the same level of data protection.
5. International transfers
Softaliza is based in Brazil, and some of the providers we use operate in other countries. Your data may therefore be processed in Brazil and in other countries where those providers operate, always under the contractual obligations described above.
6. Your rights
You may, at any time:
- Confirm whether we process your data
- Access your data
- Correct incomplete, inaccurate or outdated data
- Request the anonymization, blocking or deletion of data that is unnecessary or processed in breach of the LGPD
- Withdraw any consent you have given
- File a complaint with Brazil's National Data Protection Authority (ANPD)
If you live outside Brazil, the laws of your country may give you other rights. Wherever you are, you can send any request about your personal data to hello@assocializa.com and we will respond.
7. Data protection officer (DPO)
To exercise your rights or ask questions about how we handle your data, contact us:
- Email: hello@assocializa.com
- Suggested subject: "Data subject request"
We respond within 15 business days, in line with the LGPD, in English, Spanish or Portuguese.
8. Security
We adopt reasonable technical and administrative measures to protect data against unauthorized access and against accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, communication or disclosure. If an incident occurs that may create a relevant risk or damage to data subjects, we will notify those affected and the ANPD within the legal time frames.
9. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated to reflect changes in our practices or in the law. Whenever there is a relevant change, we update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, inform the data subjects affected directly.
