Why donations matter
Dues keep an association running, but donations often fund what makes it stand out: a scholarship, a research prize, a community project, support for members in difficulty. The problem is that donations usually arrive through a separate channel, outside the systems the association already uses, and end up tracked in yet another spreadsheet.
Who can donate
With Assocializa, donations can come from two groups:
- Members, who already have a login and a payment history with the association.
- People outside the association, such as supporters, partners and the public.
How it works in Assocializa
Donations are part of every plan, starting with Essential. They are recorded in the same financial history as your dues, so your team sees all the money that comes in, in one place, and your board reports include both.
Payment methods depend on your country and on the payment provider your association uses. In Brazil, donors can pay by Pix, boleto or card. Tell us where you operate and we will show you what is available.
Tips for a successful donation drive
- Explain the purpose. People give more when they know exactly what their donation will fund.
- Use your channels. Mention the campaign in your emails, at your events and on your website.
- Thank every donor. A quick thank-you message builds trust and repeat donations.
- Report the results. Share what the donations made possible. Transparency is the best invitation for the next campaign.
Included in the Essential plan
Donations come with the member portal, member records, dues billing and the digital membership card in the Essential plan, for USD 60 per month, with no setup fee and no lock-in contract.
